No Caffeine until Saturday….

Generally I drink 2 cups a coffee a year. A lot of my friends can’t understand it but I am not a fan. If I am looking to get my caffeine fix during the work week I may drink a cup of hot tea. During long training days and races I will use caffeine to help jumpstart the engine. I am a big fan of Motivators.

The last week leading into any race I will lay off the caffeine completely. I usually drink some sort of smoothie packed with vitamins. This is my favorite concoction.

1. Whole Banana
2. 1 ½ Cup of baby leaf spinach
3. 4oz. Tangerine Juice
4. 4oz. Carrot Juice
5. 2 Scoops of Protein Powder
6. 8oz Yogurt
7. 1 Cup Frozen Mixed Berries
8. 6oz. Water
9. Scoop of Base Salt
And Blend to a nice smoothe liquid.
