Please take timeout in your hectic life and remember those who are giving and who have given their lives for our freedom. We also can not forget that we have many dedicated men and women serving overseas to protect the United States.
I served in the US Navy from 1990–1994, on the USS Tarawa LHA-1. During this period, I served in The Persian Gulf War and Somalia; we even performed a Humanitarian effort in Bangladesh. It is not the horrors of war that I remember; it is that I got to spend a short period of my life defending this great country. I also remember the friends I made and all the amazing countries we got to see/party in while serving.
I have no regrets for serving in the US Navy, I only have fond memories of the people I met and places I traveled!
