Training, Single and Weigh in...

Saturday was a fun training day. The weather was in the 70’s and sunny. My training partners and I rode the California coastline, Del Mar to Carlsbad and back. Which is roughly a 30-mile ride. There were a lot of other cyclist, runners and surfers enjoying the harsh weather conditions ;)

After the ride a few of my fellow trigeeks and I met for a quick recovery lunch. Shrimp burritos from the local taco shop. After finally returning home I grabbed a quick 1hr nap.

Ok I am a single guy and single people should be out finding their next (what ever) on a Saturday evening/night; nope not this single dude. I received a call from a friend of mine to meet up for a spin/run workout at the local gym I took the offer. It was a great workout, well worth it. After the workout I met up with my roommate to eat some sushi and a beer. When I got home for the remaining part of the day I watched the NBC coverage of the 2009 Ironman World Championship. Again.

Sunday’s workout was supposed to go like this. Swim 45 min, Bike 36 miles run for 45 min. The darn pool is closed until January 9, 2010. So we had to improvise. We rode 12.6 miles at Fiesta Island and ran 4.2 miles off the bike. The idea behind the workout was balance. Balance a solid ride with a solid run. I didn’t want to trash my leg out on the bike. 12.6 miles @ 21mph & 4.2 miles @ 9:32mm. The weather is a little cooler today making for a nice running day.

The weigh in:
Oct, 1st 238lbs
Dec. 20th 210lbs
Goal: Mar. 27th 195lbs (fingers are crossed)

IM Weight History:
IMWI '06: 222lbs
IMFL '07: 212lbs
IMAZ '08: 216lbs
Cal. 70.3 '09 226lbs
