Happy New Years: 2010 is here

Its now 2010 and the resolutions are in effect. I will share a few of mine.
1. Keep working on my weight for both longevity and my triathlon addiction.
2. Work to make Finishline-Multisport.com even better for our readers.
3. Keep trying to make a positive impact in the world.

Something I will be doing for 2010 is sharing my life experiences not only threw words but also by pictures. I will take a picture a day for the whole year of 2010. A friend of mine did this a few years back and it was interesting to see how he spent his year. Some of these pictures may contain rated R materials; I am an adult.

On January 1st I went down to La Jolla Shores to take part in the annual Polar Bear Swim. The Pacific Ocean water temp was 59 and the air temp was around 70. I didn’t actually swim; I ran into the water and chatted with some friends. I waited for my legs to go numb before heading out. It was kind of like taking a ice bath. Afterwards a few of us grabbed breakfast.

Late that day a group of us went to see the Blindside. It was a very inspiring movie. I wish the world were more like the family in the movie. Sometimes the world could use some more nice people.

Jan.2, 2010 we reunited some of our 2008 IM Arizona crew to do a 47-mile bike, 3 mile run and Bar-B-Q. The ride was beautiful, we rode threw Elfin Forrest, Harmony Grove, Del Dios and the Coast. The weather was sunny and 70 degrees. It was my first long and hilly ride in a while and it let me know that I need to get back on some more hill training.

Jan.3 2010 was a rest day. I start my formal training for California 70.3 on the 4th. I will be using coach Ruthy Vesler as my coach. She is local, here in San Diego. She is a local lifeguard and a former pro triathlete. She knows the goal for 2010, with her help I feel I can reach them. Stay tuned….
